🎮 A Game With Real History
Time Snatchers didn't start as a website. It started in 2004 as a physical board game, designed and built from scratch — a 60-square board spanning 1900 to 2024, trivia cards, and the same core mechanic still at the heart of the digital version today: race the board, answer for a year, and claim it before someone else does.
This site is a faithful digital adaptation of that original design, rebuilt for the web so it can be played locally with friends around one screen, or online with a shareable game code. The board, the scoring, and the year-by-year structure all trace directly back to the original tabletop game.
🏆 How It Plays
Two to four players move around a 60-square board, answering trivia questions tied to specific years to claim them. Earlier decades are worth more points, rewarding both trivia knowledge and a bit of board strategy. Full rules are on the Rules page.
📡 Local and Online Play
Play pass-and-play with up to 4 players in the same room, or create an online game and share a 6-character code to play asynchronously with anyone, anywhere.
